step 3 of 4:

Get to know me

Hey, I'm Eric!

It's tough to sum yourself up in these bio sections, but there are a few things you should DEFINITELY know about me. I'm obsessed with my amazing wife, Claire, our two awesome sons, Lucas and Grayson, and our incredibly sweet and energetic puppy, Cherry (okay, she's technically 8 years old, but she'll always be our little puppy).

Hanging out with my family is definitely my favorite thing in the world, but a close second is hanging out with amazing couples on the best day of their lives! The reason I love being a wedding photographer so much is because I know what it's like to marry my best friend and to have that friendship become stronger as the years go on. Every time I'm with a couple on their wedding day, I still get those butterflies in my stomach the same way I did on my wedding day (: Also, you'll probably notice that I end A LOT of sentences with either an exclamation point or a smiley face. I can't help it. I smile a lot.

(:

The couples I work with are best friends and love having fun and laughing together. My passion is capturing that "marrying my best friend" feeling and telling the story of that friendship through bright, colorful & candid photography. I believe that genuine, candid emotion will always tell that story better than heavily posed wedding photos. I don't want to just capture the way your wedding looks, I want to capture the way it feels.

But enough about me, I'd love to learn more about you and your fiancé! Check out my work and read some reviews from past couples to get a feel for what it's like to have me as your wedding photographer, then use the form on the bottom of any page to reserve your date! Talk to you soon (:

Wedding at Landoll's Mohican Castle in Loudonville, Ohio

Gabrielle & Matt

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

"Where do we even begin with Eric.... hands down the best overall wedding photography experience! From our engagement photo session (that we LOVED) where Eric made the couple hours we had together feel like three friends just hanging out and laughing. Not once did it feel staged, forced or unnatural and that shined through in the end results. Fast forward to our wedding day, we couldn’t have asked for a more prompt, professional wedding photographer who knows EXACTLY how to get the most natural, candid moments of that day that actually captured our true emotions. Beyond just being a wedding photographer, Eric was an amazing person to be around and work with. Such a genuine, down to earth guy who helps bring the calm to the storm of nerves you’ll feel on your big day. If you want the total package, Eric is your guy!"
Engagement Session at Mill Hollow Bacon Woods Park in Vermilion, Ohio

Anna & Brian

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

"Okay, so Eric is seriously the sweetest, easiest going, kindest human being. From our first phone conversation, we knew we would get along! He was funny, personable and so ready to go for a hike with us! Our engagement session included all four of our dogs. One has some serious health stuff going on including a partially torn ACL. While my fiancé and I were getting frustrated, Eric was relaxed and patient. I'm not going to lie, it was seriously like being out in the woods with one of our friends. We genuinely had fun, laughed and he caught it. He also took some awesome shots of our dogs. And we love that! He showed up in hiking boots, got muddy, and we got off trail for some awesome pictures!! We want to do another engagement shoot just to hang out with him 💕💕 He had our pictures to us in a week and they are beautiful! The colors, shots, his editing. Beautiful."

FAQs

We aren't good at having our photos taken and we're worried they're going to look awkward. Can you help??

Don't worry, you're in good hands! Getting real, natural reactions and emotions out of couples is kind of my thing (: I've got a ton of games and prompts I love to use that bring out genuine smiles and laughs. Combine that with how much fun you'll be having and how comfortable you'll feel while taking your photos and you'll be wondering if a career in modeling is in your future (;

You're a Canton & Akron wedding photographer, so do you charge travel fees if my wedding isn't in Canton or Akron?

Short answer: Nope!
Long answer: You pick the wedding venue of your dreams and I'll be there to capture the best day of your life. I'll never "penalize" a couple for choosing their dream venue, even if it requires me to drive a little bit to get there (:

Can we see a full gallery from another wedding?

Absolutely! Out of respect for the privacy of my clients, I don't post full wedding galleries on my website, but I always send the links to a few full galleries when I respond to inquiries! Full galleries are great for checking out a wedding photographer's work over the course of an entire wedding day.

How many wedding photos will we get and when will you deliver them to us?

Every wedding day is slightly different, but typically I’ll deliver between 50-60 photos per hour of wedding photography coverage. The same range applies for engagement sessions as well. I aim for high-quality, not high-quantity. I would much rather deliver incredible photos than to deliver an overwhelming amount of “okay” photos. I'll get your engagement photos to you within 1 week after your engagement session date and your wedding photos to you within 2 weeks after your wedding day (:

Honestly, how important are wedding photos? Do we really need them?

When your wedding is over, the DJ will stop playing music, the venue will kick you out, the cake will be gone, the flowers will wilt, you won't remember what the food tasted like, and you'll (probably) never wear the dress again, but the ONE thing you'll have from your wedding day that you'll pass on for generations are your wedding photos. They're the one thing from your wedding day that you'll have to hold on to forever. I know I'm a little biased, but I'd say great wedding photos are the most important investment you can make when it comes to your wedding.

You'll frequently see me photographing weddings at these awesome venues:

Gervasi Vineyard
Tudor House at Mason's Cove
Magnolia Spring Farm

Sugar Lake Lodge

Briarwood Golf Club
Crown POint Ecology Center
The Barn at Wolf Creek
White Birch Barn
The Event ON Sunny Brook
Mapleside Farms
